About Us

Our
Story

Hi, I'm Paris Rose, founder of Big Stretch Yoga. I'm a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and an Army Master Resiliency Trainer, and I created this space as a way to share what's helped me feel more grounded, calm, and connected—on and off the mat.
I've been practicing Yoga since 2012, but only recently completed my teacher training. Throughout my time in the military, Yoga became my anchor—the one place where I could quiet my busy mind, breathe a little deeper, and remember who I was underneath all the noise. It helped me build resilience long before I knew what that even meant.
Big Stretch Yoga is rooted in alignment-based movement, but more than that, it's about creating a sense of community—especially for those of us looking for connection beyond coworkers or routines.
The name came from the two most resilient beings I know—my cats, Kali and Damascus. If you've ever seen a cat stretch out and said “biiiiig streeetch!” then you get it. They remind me to be present, to show up fully as myself, and to find joy in the little things.
Here, I offer yoga classes, meditations, and challenges to help us all stay grounded and growing. Whether you're new to Yoga or just craving a calm space in a chaotic world—you're welcome here.
I'll be sharing more through this blog, and I hope you'll come along for the journey. Let's stretch into something new—together.
